The Alief ISD Board of Trustees approved the 2026-2027 compensation plan during the May 19th Regular Board meeting. 

This action reflects the district's continued commitment to recognizing the hard work and dedication of every member of our team.   

Highlights of the Approved Plan: 

  • The compensation plan includes a 1% increase on the midpoint of the pay grade for all full-time employees.    

  • Eligible teachers and staff (P1T and P1Other), librarians, and nurses will continue to receive the additional Teacher Retention Allotment (TRA) or Staff Retention Allotment (SRA) based on years of completed teaching experience in addition to the 1% increase.  The 1% increase for employees listed in the pay grades above is $750.   If you are moving from one TRA Tier to another, you will receive the required TRA Tier Increase in addition to the $750.   

TRA/SRA Allotment Amounts: 

  • $2,400 โ€“ 0 to 2 years 

  • $2,500 โ€“ 3 to 4 years 

  • $5,000 โ€“ 5 or more years 

For example: 

  • Year 2 advancing to Year 3 would receive $850 ($750 plus $100) 

  • Year 4 advancing to Year 5 would receive $3,250 ($750 plus $2,500)  

  • All other years receive $750
